Reporting Place & Time :

1. Morning Safari:

Reporting Time: Between 6:00 AM - 6:30 AM || Safari Departure: Around 7:00 AM

The Sasan Gir Devaliya Park Gypsy Safari is a more personalized and adventurous way to explore the wildlife within the Devaliya Safari Park. This safari offers visitors the chance to travel in a private open gypsy vehicle for a more intimate experience compared to the bus safari.

The starting point for the Devaliya Safari Park is the Devaliya Safari Park Entrance Gate, which is also known as the Gir Interpretation Zone Entrance. This is where visitors check-in, collect their safari tickets, and board the safari vehicles (either the bus or gypsy) for the tour of the park. It is located near the village of Devaliya, within the Gir National Park. It’s always best to arrive at least 30 minutes before your safari time to ensure smooth check-in and to prepare for the adventure.

You’ll have the opportunity to see the Asiatic lions, leopards, spotted deer, wild boars, and various bird species up close in their natural habitat. An expert naturalist or guide accompanies each gypsy to provide in-depth knowledge about the park’s ecosystem and its wildlife. The gypsy safari typically lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour. Gypsy safaris need to be booked in advance, and the number of vehicles is limited, so early reservations are recommended.

Safari Types: Bus Safari or Gypsy Safari | Timings: Morning (6:00 AM – 9:00 AM) and Afternoon (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM) | Charges: Ticket prices vary based on the type of safari (bus or gypsy) and the number of people in the group. It's advisable to check the current rates on the official website.

You can book safari tickets online through the Gir Sasan Tourism website. Online booking is recommended as the number of safari vehicles is limited, especially during peak tourist seasons. Visit the official site or authorized platforms, select your preferred safari time (morning or afternoon), and choose your vehicle type (bus or gypsy). Payment is usually required at the time of booking.Advance Booking: Book well in advance, especially during peak seasons (October to March). ID Proof: Carry a valid photo ID (like an Aadhar card, passport, etc.) for all members of the group when booking or checking in. Arrival Time: Arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled safari time to complete check-in procedures.

Advance Payment done is non refundable.

It is mandatory to provide ID proof detail of all members while booking. ID proofs submitted while Safari Booking will be verified with the original ID proofs at safari boarding time. Boarding will not be possible if any discrepancy found and refund will not be processed in this case. No ID proofs are accepted other than mentioned in the Booking Form.

Once the safari is booked, any kind of modification is strictly NOT possible, like Change in the ID proof number, name of person including spelling mistake, addition or deletion of person, change in safari date or time slot, etc.

There are 13 routes for this jeep safari. Any of the routes will be allocated to each jeep randomly. Possibility of lion sighting is equal in each route and it is purely on your luck. One can get a chance to see lots of wildlife animals including lions & Leopards.

We will refund full amount within 2 working days in case of unavailability of requested jeep safari.

Forest depart reserves the right to cancel the permit or modify the timing in unavoidable circumstances. Decision of the forest department will be final in such case.

Limited Permits: A limited number of permits are issued daily for each safari zone. This ensures conservation efforts and avoids overcrowding.

Peak Season: During peak seasons (October to June), permits tend to get booked quickly. It’s advisable to book early, especially during weekends and holidays.

Availability: Permits are available for both Jeep Safari and Devalia Safari Park. The permits are issued based on safari zone, date, and vehicle capacity.

Offline Booking: Permits can also be obtained from local counters in Sasan Gir or through nearby hotels, but availability may be limited during peak times.
